In my house, Lily is up first most days... that means she gets to pick the show, which lately has been Tom & Jerry - not my personal fave (or Sofia's for that matter).
This morning, it was Sofia's turn to be up first. She asked me if she could watch Backyardigans. As I heard Lily get up, I was ready to combat the negativity that I expected to erupt.
Instead, I heard a sweetness in her voice. "Sofia, I think I know why you like the Backyardigans so much. Because you have a great imagination, and so do they."
I loved it.
Then, I heard Sofia so sweetly reply "Lily, when we're done, we can watch Tom & Jerry."
Looks like this might be a good day! :)
